Responsibilities: John Laing Construction, a subsidiary of John Laing Plc, is a major operator in the building and civil engineering industries. Prestigious contract include Sizewell B Power Station and the Second Seven crossing project. Quality Manager within the company with particular responsibility for construction services, i.e. specialist plant provision, statutory inspection, testing, fabrication and design. To establish and implement Quality Systems in four different activities undertaken by the company, to BS 5750 as audited by NCSIIB and BSI. (Inspection and Test, Design and Fabrication, Strategic Plant Services and Hire Services). Solely responsible for all Quality Related aspects associated with the company.

1987 – 1990 London Brick Company, Peterborough (Hanson Trust)

Responsibilities: Implementation and maintenance of Quality Systems to
BS 5750 as audited by BSI Project Management. Reporting only to Divisional director, solely responsible for all Quality related aspects within the division. Responsible for a team of nine inspectors.

One of a very small number of IRCA recognised Corporate Management Systems Auditor.

 
The (previously part time) consultancy has resulted in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registrations for companies involved in Scaffolding, Electrical Harnesses, Stockists and Plastic Extrusion. Currently working in the waste recycling sector on ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001.
